JAZZY GHOST
ZINE DESIGN
This is a zine talks about the fusion of two unrelated subjects, The Beat Generation and Chinese Door God culture. The title "Jazzy" is a key word taken from the Beat Generation, while "ghost" is derived from the door god culture mentioned in the book. The Beat Generation's creations in jazz have a great influence on future generations, while the Chinese Door God culture has a long history and is a folk belief in the deity of door guards, which was basically posted on the door of every household in the old days. I think the combination of these two cultures, which have a deep influence on future generations, will create a peculiar spark.

PROCESS
This zine includes a lot of manual elements. I printed out some of the images and putting them on a scanner to scan and move them around to get a lot of random abstract recreated images. I used brushes to create some Chinese elements, and I also hand-drew the seal and projected the images from the projector onto my body to photograph them.
